“Konohana Sakuya-hime”
An original Kagura performance featuring a life-sized puppet playing the role of Konohana Sakuya-hime, the beautiful goddess from Japanese mythology. It is said that she demonstrated her faithfulness by giving birth to the princes in the midst of a fire.
“Jigoku Dayu”
A legendary courtesan who lived a beautiful life adorned with paintings of hell. This piece is based on the story of how she attained enlightenment after meeting Ikkyu.
